PAKDD 2023 Call for Student Registration Award Applications

PAKDD 2023 will offer registration awards (i.e., free registration). The purpose of the student registration award is to encourage student participation at the conference by helping offset the costs for students who are planning to attend the conference. The registration award aims to encourage students to participate in the workshops, tutorials, and the main conference. Applications are accepted from full-time students at degree-granting institutions. PAKDD promotes the participation of women, underrepresented minorities, and newcomer students (Please include this information in your self-statement only if available).

Eligibility

  • You must be a full-time student (undergraduate, graduate, and PhDs are welcome to apply).
  • You must have completed registration (including payment).

How to apply

Please read the following instructions carefully before you submit your application. Only complete applications submitted by the deadline will receive full consideration.

Submission of the form will be accepted only once. Your self-statement should include the applicant’s current status, including institution, academic status [undergraduate, MS, or Ph.D.], number of years entering the current program, supervisor, the accepted paper ID and paper title (only the conference authors), The accepted workshop name and paper title (only the workshop authors), the applicant’s research interest and current accomplishments, a description of how the grant will help them with their research/study plans, and a description of how the applicant will benefit from attending the conference.

Selection criteria

Students who are the conference or workshop authors and local participants will have higher priority, but we will consider diversity.

Deadline and notification

  • Application Deadline: May 15, 2023 (AoE)
  • Notification: May 24, 2023 (JST)
